Michigan After-School Association Collaborative Summer Summit 2016

On May 13, 2016 COOSchool Technologies hosted a session entitled Playing With Toys: Critical Thinking and Problem Solving with Technology Tools at the Michigan AfterSchool Association Collaborative Summer Summit in Lansing, Michigan. Directors, teachers, and out-of-school time professionals learned how to use free web tools to engage students in their afterschool programs to support the academic core. We had a great time sharing resources and learning about the MOST standards that guide the work of these professionals. We hope to collaborate with them again!

National My Brother's Keeper Alliance

The MBK Community Challenge encourages communities (cities, rural municipalities, and tribal nations) to implement a coherent cradle-to-college-and-career strategy for improving the life outcomes of all young people to ensure that they can reach their full potential, regardless of who they are, where they come from, or the circumstances into which they are born. Nearly 200 mayors, tribal leaders, and county executives across 43 states and the District of Columbia have accepted the MBK Community Challenge.

COOL School Technologies, L3C is a member of the Michigan MBK planning team of community, education and civic entities to provide support for organizations that accepted the My Brother's Keeper Promise to address key milestones to improve conditions for students of color.
